Part 1 Definitions and Explanations
A.) Variable set #1
$ /GNI per capita; The total amount of money/product a country makes in one year divided by the number of people in the country. Its telling how much money the average person should be earning in a year.
Age /Life Expectancy; The amount of years an average person can expect to live to in his or her lifetime.
Variable set #2
% People /Literacy Rate; The percent of people in a country that can read and write out of the total population.
# Children /Children per woman; The amount of children an average woman can expect to bear during her lifetime.
B.) GNI per capita gives us the perfect insight into the economic development of a country because it is the statistic of how much money an average working person will bring home to their families every year.
Life Expectancy helps us out because it shows that how long people will live with the help of the new technologies as well as nutrition and access to a doctor when needed.
Literacy rate shows how many people are educated in the country and can do secondary or tertiary jobs in the country and it also shows that there isn't poverty everywhere inside of the country because if there is poverty then the kids cannot go to school so they can help out their families.
Children per women is also affiliated with education to the point of if a woman isn't educated or doesn't marry a man that has a job, she has to have a lot of kids in order for them to work and help out the family. In core countries if you have a lot of children it is considered an economic burden so if there is a high amount of children per woman then it cannot be a very high economically developed country.

Part 2 Chart Analysis
A/B.)
Variable set #1
Eastern Europe,The United States, New Zealand, And Australia get the head start in the beginning and generally keep their lead. the first two asian countries to move were Japan and China, China Went Backwards and Japan Just kept a steady pace. South Africa was the first African country to move and it held its own right on the leaders tails. when we hit WWl all of Europes GNI per capita fell but rose right back up at the end of the war. The at WWll the life expectancy fell and rose at the end of the war.  At around the 1950s was when the rest of the world started to move and in the middle east there was a oil boom that caused there to be a low Life Expectancy but leading the pack off the charts in GNI per capita. The rest of the world is now catching up to the countries that got such an early lead in the 1800s.

Variable set #2
Europe and the MDCs in Eastern Europe have the lowest children per woman and the highest  highest literacy rates. in the back of the group is the African countries as well as some Middle Eastern countries. Sri lanka, South Africa and United Arab Emirates are leading their respective packs for South Asia, Africa, and the Middle East.

Where is it?
The Afar region on the map is an “zone” in Ethiopia. This zone on the northern border of the country. Is elongated and juts down into the center of the country at a point, like a big triangle.
East African Federation is in the middle of Africa’s eastern seaboard facing the Indian ocean. It includes five states Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania, and Uganda.
WHY is it there?
Afars in that region are mad because the Ethiopian government tried to arrest the political leader in the region. The Afars Revolted after their leader fled and they began to kill off people that were not afars. They also closed off Ethiopia's only highway to the red sea.
On the other hand the East African Federation is proposing their new country on the thought of political and economic gain. The states already have a free trade act as well as some other economic contracts with each other so, why not become a new country?
Why is it THERE?
The boundaries Constructed for the Afar region are cultural boundaries because the makeup of the region is 90% Afar and only a couple of other ethnic groups boxed in with them.
The East African Federation Made up of geometric boundaries that were created by the Europeans during colonial times. Because they used the boundaries that the Europeans gave them, they are considered geometric.
What difference does it make?
The Afar region may make devolutionary forces because of the new government that would be put in place(if a dictatorship is installed). Pressures will also exist if the economy is Failing.
The East African Federation may have devolutionary issues with spatial forces because of the size of the new country. It may also have ethnocultural problems with all the new people together that have never been exposed to each other before.

This is the link to my map on Docks

People 65 and older you would think all move to Florida and live on their porch reading all day but, according to the census demographic mapper shows that there is many elders living in the Great Plains area. Although there is a good amount in Florida the Great Plains is dominated by elders and also North and Northwest of Wyoming, Nevada, and Utah. To the East and Southeast of the Rust Bowl has many elders. One other pattern there was that the elders stayed away from big cities like LA, Denver, and Chicago.

The reason that there are more elders in the Great Plains regions is because that is a big area of land with no big cities that is not as crowded as metropolitan areas. There is a cluster of elders on the coasts of Florida because the weather is nicer and people migrate to the coasts because the life is easier with the weather and no snow to shovel or as many leaves to pick up.

In the Great Plains region there is a lower number of jobs in the area due to the amount of people that are at the retirement age. More of the households in the area are home to people of retired age so those houses cannot be filled with a family with two parents that could be boosting the economy with their hard work. In this region there may be not as many overcrowded schools or as many schools for that matter. The challenges are that there are more nursing homes and more jobs in the specialised care field in that region.
